Dukhtaran-e-Millat on Tuesday has welcomed the statement of Pakistan's Minister for Human Rights, Shireen Mazari, who had stated that Imran-Khan-led Government of Pakistan was planning a proposal for the resolution of Kashmir issue.

“The statement by Shireen Mazari is a welcome step. It is encouraging that Pakistan is keeping the issue of the oppressed people of Kashmiri people on its top priority list,” DeM spokesperson, Rifat Fatima, said in a statement. She said that priority to Kashmir issue is imperative for peace in Pakistan as well as in the whole sub-continent.

“Peace in the whole region is in fact dependent on the resolution of Kashmir issue,” she added. Meanwhile, Rifat further said that multiple applications in the Indian Supreme Court against the Article 35-A only indicates that India, by all means, is attempting to change the demography of Jammu and Kashmir.

“India wants to change the Muslim majority into minority in Kashmir and like Israel, is planning wipe out the Muslim identity of JK,” she added. Rifat further warned India against taking such steps against the Muslim identity of Jammu and Kashmir. “A rumour on Monday triggered massive protests across Kashmir and people, without caring about their lives, came on roads. It is a warning for India that if it conspiracies to harm the demography of Jammu and Kashmir, there will be dire consequences,” she added. She condemned the excessive use of force and showering of pellets on unarmed protestors on Tuesday.

“As many as 25 persons were severely injured by pellets among which 5 persons have sustained severe eye injuries. India must know it that excessive force by its occupational forces only strengthen our resolve against it and people of Kashmir will continue to resist this illegal occupation until its end,” she added.
